What a Foshan Showroom Visit Can and Can't Confirm

Oct 16, 2026

A showroom visit is the quickest way to judge how custom cabinetry looks and works at full size. It cannot tell you what your own order will be made of. Overseas buyers get the most from a Foshan showroom visit when they use it to approve a look and a level of detail, then leave with those choices written into drawings and samples.

What you can see in our Foshan showroom

Our showroom is on the fourth floor of China Ceramics City in Chancheng District, Foshan. International visitors who toured it recently moved through three areas, and each one answers a different buying question.

The walk-in closet area shows a corner unit with curved shelves, drawer units with small drawers, a central island with deep drawers and a pop-up power unit, and strip lighting built into the shelving. It is the place to judge how a tall run turns a corner, and how storage, power and light are planned together. Our walk-in closet page shows further layouts.

The dark cabinetry area pairs full-height solid doors with glass-fronted sections and integrated lighting. It shows how a darker finish reads under showroom light, and how glass and solid doors sit beside each other.

The sample table holds board cuts with visible edges, stone-effect slabs and wood-grain panels. It is where a finish name becomes something you can pick up, turn over and compare.

What a showroom visit can confirm

Four things are easier to judge in person than from a screen:

  • Proportion and layout. In a full-size room you can tell whether an aisle, an island or a corner feels right. A rendering rarely shows that.
  • Finish under real light. Colour and sheen change between a monitor, a printed catalogue and a lit room. A dark door next to a glass panel looks different from either one alone.
  • Detail at hand height. Pull a drawer, close a door against its neighbour, look at the gaps and the handle position.
  • Material feel. Edge thickness, texture and surface are easier to judge from a physical sample than from a line in a specification.

What it cannot confirm

A showroom piece is a display, and an order is a document. Three things can only be settled in writing.

Materials. A wood-grain surface can sit on several different boards, and a glass front can use different glass. The sample you approve should be named in the order, with the board, edge, finish and hardware listed as separate lines.

Dimensions. Showroom units are built to the showroom's walls. Your own measurements, ceiling height, appliance sizes and wall conditions decide the real drawing.

Production control. The showroom shows design and finish. How panels are cut, edge-banded, drilled, checked and packed is a factory question.

Our advice follows from this: approve the look in the showroom, then approve the specification on paper. If a detail you liked is not in the drawing or the sample list, it is not yet part of your order.

Questions worth asking in each area

In the walk-in closet area, ask which parts of the display are standard modules and which were developed for that layout. Ask how a corner unit is fitted into a room whose walls are not square, and open the small drawers to see how they run.

In the dark cabinetry area, ask what the glass fronts are made of and how their edges are finished. Ask which lighting would be included in a quotation and which would be optional.

At the sample table, ask for the sample that matches each finish in your quotation, together with the cut edge of the board behind it. Ask which samples can travel with your order file, so the approved version is not left to memory.

What to bring

A visit goes faster with documents than with ideas alone. Bring or send in advance:

  • A floor plan with wall lengths, ceiling height, and door and window positions
  • Photos of the space and reference images of finishes you like
  • Appliance sizes, if kitchens or laundry areas are included
  • Your target market and any standards the project must meet
  • The number of rooms or units, and your timeline

If you cannot travel, the same list lets our team start a drawing discussion remotely, and the sample questions above still apply when samples are sent to you. For a larger scope, our whole-house customization page explains how rooms can be planned together.

When the factory matters

For a single room, approved samples and a signed drawing may be enough to move forward. For developer, hotel or multi-unit projects, add a factory review so the specification can be traced through cutting, edge banding, assembly and packing. Our showroom is in Chancheng, and our factory is in Shishan Town, Nanhai District. Tell us early if you want both on the same trip, so the appointments can be planned around travel time.
